Fantastic result at Race-Retro

Silverstone Auctions first sale at the Race-Retro show in Stoneleigh took place on Feb 25th 2012 and proved to be an outstanding success for the team and their customers.
3 out of every 4 cars entered were sold on the day with a total sales value of £1.8m (a sales rate of 75%).
This doubled the previous achievements of both H and H and Bonhams, as well as setting a record for the total sales value during the show.

Customers were delighted ~ with both sellers and buyers achieving their highest hopes and expectations, meaning that all cars were paid for and delivered within 48 hours of the sale and buyers paid out within 14 working days.

The highest value Lot was a racing Tojeiro Jaguar reaching £286,000 under the hammer, with an Aston Martin DB4 reaching an on target estimate of £170,000. Ayrton Senna's helmet and overalls achieved a combined price of over £100,000 with over 28 competition cars also finding new homes. Silverstone are overall completely delighted with the first year of their partnership with Race-Retro and their first experience of holding a sale away from their base at the famous circuit in Northamptonshire.
